I've seen three different styles of tachs used in 55-59. the 1st two pics below are light duty truck tachs.

This is another tachometer
that was used by Chevy and GMC both, Just depending where your truck
was made at, depended on what type of tach you got from the factory!
They were all Sun Tachs.
